The search for a missing 26-year-old visitor has prompted urgent appeals from officials at Grand Canyon National Park, as investigators work to piece together the final movements of Sandarsh Krishna.
Krishna was reported missing Tuesday afternoon, setting off a coordinated response by National Park Service rangers. Described as 5-foot-10 with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes, he was last seen dressed in athletic clothing and carrying a black backpack.
That backpack has since become a focal point in the investigation. Early Tuesday morning, it was turned in to staff at Bright Angel Lodge, raising new questions about what may have happened in the hours before Krishna disappeared.
Authorities are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual who delivered the backpack. While officials emphasize that this person is not considered a suspect, they believe the individual could provide crucial information to help establish a timeline.
The Grand Canyon, one of the most visited national parks in the United States, presents vast and rugged terrain that can complicate search efforts. Rangers continue to follow leads while urging anyone who may have seen Krishna—or the person who turned in the backpack—to come forward.
