SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The 2025 Spring Training season at Scottsdale Stadium was one of the most successful in recent memory, with nearly 140,000 fans filling the stands. According to the Cactus League, this marked the stadium’s highest attendance since 2019, reflecting both the enduring draw of baseball in Scottsdale and the impact of recent stadium improvements.
Over 15 games, fans enjoyed enhanced amenities, including a newly updated Left Field berm, shaded patio seating, and expanded tree coverage that improved comfort on the outfield lawn. City leaders say the upgrades are part of a phased modernization plan that began in 2019, with the goal of keeping Scottsdale Stadium a premier venue in the Cactus League.
The San Francisco Giants, who have long called Scottsdale their Spring Training home, praised the collaboration with the city and local partners. Team officials emphasized their commitment to maintaining a world-class fan experience, pointing to Scottsdale’s Old Town location and modern amenities as key advantages that set the venue apart.
While the crowds brought energy and excitement to the games, the season also had a lasting impact off the field. The Scottsdale Charros, a civic group that has supported local baseball since 1961, used Spring Training operations to generate nearly $1.4 million in community contributions. Funds from ticket sales, programs, raffles, and the Charro Lodge went toward more than 100 local nonprofits, including the 100 Club of Arizona, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, Family Promise, Scottsdale Arts, and Scottsdale Community Partners.
Officials highlighted the 63-year partnership between the City of Scottsdale, the Charros, and the Giants as central to the stadium’s success. City leaders noted that the stadium not only delivers community benefits but also drives tourism and boosts the local economy.
With strong attendance, new upgrades, and continued charitable contributions, Scottsdale Stadium’s 2025 season underscored the power of sports to unite fans while strengthening the community.
