Scottsdale Green Zebra Adventures Expands its Horizons

Green Zebra Adventures, an off-road touring company of Scottsdale’s Fort McDowell Reservation, has recently made changes to provide services to an oft-forgotten adventure clientele: the locals. The adventure company has been providing tours of the gorgeous Sonoran desert through the unique experience of driving a military-grade ATV, known as the Tomcar, since 2008. But the owners, Stacey Boltz and Andy Meltz, decided the company needed some new additions to their adventure arsenal to bring the locals in on the fun.

The Tomcar tours are here to stay, an activity that draws in many tourists each year, but Green Zebra Adventures is expanding to give the locals even more opportunity to play in their backyard. The Tomcar tours cost about $600 for four adults, so part of the change is providing cheaper adventure options in the $100-$200 range. From the addition of Segway rides through the city to horseback and hot-air balloon rides in the surrounding areas, Green Zebra is giving Arizonans alternative, but just as adventurous, options to explore Scottsdale.

Besides these experiences that Green Zebra offers directly, the company is also working with a variety of vendors to provide nearly 70 adventures and excursions in Arizona. Green Zebra has added zip lines excursions, white water rafting, rock climbing, Jeep tours in scenic wine country, and even skydiving over the Grand Canyon. All of the adventures offered, including through the vendors, can be booked at the newly opened Green Zebra Adventures storefront on Main Street.

Whether one’s idea of adventure is adrenaline-filled or more laid back, Green Zebra Adventures is giving their fellow Arizonans the opportunity to get outside and have the fun that only nature provides.
