Saturday, Sept. 24: Public To Receive Free Admission To Parks For National Public Lands Day

Are you looking to explore and take in all the beauty that Arizona has to offer?

The public is invited to participate in a National Public Lands Day (NPLD) event scheduled Saturday, Sept. 24. Everyone will receive free entry to national parks and other federal public lands, including national monuments, forests, recreation areas, seashores, wildlife refuges, historical sites, battlefields, and grasslands.

NPLD is a success nationwide because of the collaboration between federal, state and local agencies, private organizations and individual volunteers. The event is spearheaded each year by the National Environmental Education and Training Foundation and is considered one of the largest single day volunteer efforts in the nation.
