Report Discovers That 200 New Residents Arrive In Phoenix Per Day

According to a new report by Bloomberg, 200 new residents are moving to Phoenix per day.  Phoenix ranked No.2 in growth only behind Dallas whose population grows by 212 each day.

The report was based on net migration taking the number of residents who move in minus those who move out in the 100 largest U.S. metro areas, based on U.S. Census Bureau data from July 1, 2017, to July 1, 2018. The figures do not include death or birth numbers, only relocations.

Back in 2016-17, Phoenix was acquiring 174 new residents a day. So, that number has gone up in the past couple of years. In 2017-18, Phoenix added 62,000 residents total, which ranked No. 1 in the country. Maricopa County has been the fastest growing county in the US for the past three years.

On the other end of the spectrum, New York loses 277 residents per day to migration and Los Angeles loses 201 per day.
