Quality Bars in North Central Phoenix

If you’re in the North Central Phoenix area and looking for a nice place to kick back and relax, there are plenty of quality local bars nearby.

Rott n’ Grapes is located at 4750  N. Central Ave and is owned by the wife-and-husband team of Patty Gii and Keith Shanks. If you love dogs and wine, this bar might be the one for you as it’s a tribute to the couples Rottweiler dogs and love for wine. Customers can choose from 80 different wines or 75 beers in drafts, cans or bottles. All dogs are welcome, of course.

The experience wouldn’t be complete without some delicious food. Customers can chow down on some spinach-hummus dip, meatballs or an Italian flat pizza just to name a few of the choices.

Specials are offered almost every night such as live music every Tuesday and Thursday. On Saturday they even offer a special discount for all the ladies out there. Wine and beer tasting is also available at no charge.

The bar opens at 3pm with Happy Hour lasting until 8pm.  That means beer for just $3 and wine for $5!

Another bar worth checking out is The Whining Pig, available in two locations: 1612 E. Bethany Home Road or 3730 E. Indian School Road. They offer roughly 50 different wines and around 100 different beers. Just like at Rott n’ Grapes, this bar opens at 3pm and Happy Hour lasts until 8pm. Customers are welcome to bring their own food into the bar as the food choices are minimal.

The environment is very laidback and a great way to unwind after a long day at work. Throwback games such as Yahtzee or Go Fish are played throughout the night, so go grab a drink and relax!

Central Wine, located at 4236 N. Central, Suite 01, is right across the street from the Clever Koi restaurant. Jenna Rousseau, the bars owner, created the menu to specifically compliment the drink choices. There’s even a dessert menu if you prefer a sweet tasting wine!

Wine tastings take place every Thursday from 6-9pm for just $15. Non-alcoholic beverages such as espresso or lattes are also available.

There’s a little something for everyone to enjoy in North Central Phoenix so what are you waiting for?
