Phoenix police are investigating the death of a man found Saturday morning in south Phoenix, who authorities believe may have been struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Officers responded around 9 a.m. to the area of 23rd Avenue and Baseline Road after receiving reports of a body in the roadway. When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Latwan Xavier Dossie, who showed signs of being hit by a car, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Phoenix Fire Department personnel pronounced Dossie dead at the scene.
Investigators said they are searching for a gray Audi that may have been involved in the crash. The area was temporarily closed as detectives collected evidence and canvassed for witnesses.
