PHOENIX — A man is dead and two others were injured following a shooting in a west Phoenix parking lot early Sunday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 5 a.m. near 27th Avenue and McDowell Road, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
A third man was also hurt in the incident, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been released from the hospital. Police said he was interviewed by homicide detectives and released pending further investigation.
No arrests have been made, and officials have not released information about what led to the shooting.
