SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Scottsdale police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide after three people were found dead with gunshot wounds in a home near Pima and Indian Bend roads on Wednesday afternoon.
The discovery came after officers conducted a welfare check around 10 a.m. when one of the victims failed to show up for work and couldn’t be reached, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
Officers attempted contact multiple times before entering the backyard and seeing two people apparently dead inside the home. After entering, they located a third body in a separate room.
Authorities Working to Confirm Details
Investigators worked at the scene throughout the night, collecting evidence and processing the home. Police said they are treating the case as a probable murder-suicide, and no other suspects are being sought at this time.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner is working to confirm the identities and causes of death. Names and ages of the deceased have not yet been released.
The case marks the latest in a string of suspected murder-suicides in the Valley in recent months.
