PHOENIX — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in central Phoenix that occurred early Wednesday morning. The Phoenix Police Department responded to the scene at an apartment complex near 12th Street and Maryland Avenue around 3:30 a.m.
Officers arrived to find a man lying in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The suspect, who was on the scene, told police that he had shot the victim following an argument.
A crowbar was found next to the victim, according to police.
The identities of the victim and the shooter have not been released, and a charging decision is still pending. No further details have been provided by authorities at this time.
