Play Ball! 2017 Cactus League Spring Training

With the desert weather warming past winter, the Cactus League spring training is due for its 2017 season. Arizona hosts 15 teams at 10 stadiums across the Valley in preparation for the MLB season with the games starting on February 22 and concluding on April 1.

The Arizona Diamondbacks open their 2017 spring training schedule in an exhibition game against Grand Canyon University. In years past, the D-Backs hosted University of Arizona in 2016 and Arizona State University in 2015. The Diamondbacks will play a total of 33 spring training games in 2017 with 19 of them at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. Their opening game against an MLB team is on February 25th against the Colorado Rockies.

After the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series in 107 seasons, their games are bound to be sold out or close to it. The Cubs play the Giants in their opening game of spring training on Saturday February 25th.
