Can you guess what August 6, 2016, is? Okay, you got me! It is another day on the calendar, but it is also the day of Phoenix Zoo’s Prowl and Play event and boy have they pulled out all of the bells and whistles. The event starts at 5:30pm and keeps going until 8:30pm. Don’t be alarmed Adults, there’s fun for you here too!

What’s around to keep the kids entertained

This magical event brings the music, entertainment, animals, and the joy of water slides. Not impressed. Girls will have the opportunity to meet their favorite fairytale princess, while boys can be boys when they get to meet to the pirate, Jolly Roger. That’s not all—not even close!

There will even be an awesome plasma robotics team showcasing their niftiest robots for you to enjoy. This will be shown at the C.W. & Modene Neely Education and Event Center.

Splashing Fun Under the Sun

It’s a pretty solid assumption, that it’s going to be a scorcher and we have what you need. Take advantage of refreshing water slides, Yakulla Caverns, and Leapin’ Lagoon; these will surely satisfy both adults and children.

Pokemon Go Heads to Phoenix Zoo

Hop on board the craze and bring your mobile device along. Throughout the night the Zoo will place lure modules for Pokemon Go around the park. What night-stalking Pokemon will you find?

Booty for the Adults

While the Prowl and Play event is mainly for the young and young at heart, there is also a little something for the adults. Take a trip to the Ye Olde Pirate Bar and sip on the hooch of pirates. Fall in love with a frosty glass of beer or take on a different spin and have a smooth glass of wine.
