Police Search For Suspect Who Strangled, Raped Woman

Phoenix police released a sketch of the suspect who allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted a woman who was leaving her work. The police believe it is the same person who exposed and fondled himself near a day care.

Police described the suspect as a white male, 35 to 50 years old, with brown wavy or curly shoulder-length hair and a full beard.

He is approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build and was last seen wearing jeans and a blue plaid shirt with a white thermal t-shirt underneath.

The police responded to a report of a man exposing and fondling himself near the daycare and animal clinic around 3:45 p.m. on March 28th in the area near Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway. Police were unable to locate him in the area when they were called.

Around 7 p.m., they received a call from an animal clinic staffer who reported a sexual assault.

According to police, the victim said the same man attacked her and strangled her from behind, and when she woke up, she “felt she was sexually assaulted.”

Police asked anyone with information to call Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.
