Phoenix Public Pools Reopen for Summer Ahead of Memorial Day Weekend

The city’s 23 public pools will offer open swim, lessons, and aquatic programs throughout the summer season.

Summer pool season is returning to Phoenix as the city prepares to reopen all 23 public swimming pools beginning Saturday, May 23, just ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department announced that residents and visitors will once again have access to recreational swimming, swim lessons, and aquatic activities across the Valley during the summer months.

Pools reopening for the season include Encanto, Coronado, Deer Valley, Maryvale, Pecos, Roosevelt, Sunnyslope, Washington, and several other neighborhood facilities throughout Phoenix.

City officials said admission prices will remain budget-friendly for families. Adults can swim for $3 per session, while seniors ages 60 and older pay $1. Children and teens ages 17 and younger may qualify for free admission at select locations through the Kool Kids program.

Programming, pool hours, and admission details will vary depending on the facility and scheduled activities.

The city encourages residents to check the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department website for updated schedules, swim lesson registration, and pool-specific information before visiting.
