 Suspect Captured After Escape From Phoenix Police Facility

Authorities have reported that an armed robbery suspect who escaped from a Phoenix police facility early Friday morning is back in custody.

The suspect, 20-year-old Tyler Woodward escaped a police facility near Central Avenue and Elwood Street, north of Broadway Road, around 1 a.m.


At approximately 1 p.m., police said Woodward was taken into custody about a mile away, near Seventh Street and Elwood.

Phoenix police are alerting the public that a manhunt is underway for an armed robbery suspect who escaped a Phoenix police facility early Friday morning.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released.

Phoenix Police say he escaped from a building near Central Avenue and Elwood at 1 a.m. on Oct. 22.

Police are warning that anyone who sees the suspect should not approach and to call 911.
