PHOENIX — Phoenix police have arrested a man accused of deliberately striking and killing another man with his vehicle on Sunday night.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Ethan Jaaziel Felix, was found severely injured near 16th Street and Thomas Road. Phoenix Police officers responded to the scene and transported Felix to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities quickly identified the suspect as 38-year-old Miguel Preciado Jr., who reportedly stayed at the scene briefly before fleeing.
Arrest in Tucson Desert
Preciado was apprehended on Monday by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies located his vehicle in a desert area near Tucson and later found Preciado several miles away from it.
He was taken into custody and transferred to the Phoenix Police Department, where detectives charged him with one count of first-degree murder and additional felony offenses.

Details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the incident remain unclear, as authorities have not released further information.
