Phoenix Man Found Dead in Trunk in Las Vegas

A suspect has been arrested after the discovery of a missing Phoenix man was found dead in a car trunk in Las Vegas.

The Criminal Apprehension Team in San Diego County arrested Tony Danh, 37, on Sept. 29 in connection with the Aug. 19 discovery. Danh has been booked into San Diego Central Jail and is currently awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported that the remains of Amir Haggi had been discovered in the trunk of a BMW outside an Las Vegas apartment complex located near Tropicana and the I-15. Haggi, a Phoenix resident, had been reported missing in June.


Las Vegas police said they responded to a call about a foul odor and found the remains in the car. The body had been there for quite some time.
