Phoenix Man Arrested for Bestiality After Surveillance Footage Surfaces

Shocking Incident Leads to Arrest and Charges Against 21-Year-Old

In a disturbing incident that has left the community in shock, a Phoenix man was arrested after surveillance footage showed him committing bestiality on a horse. The incident, reported on July 22nd, 2024, occurred on a property near 16th Street and Cloud Road.

The man, identified as 21-year-old Kenneth Sellner, was discovered by his own mother, who had been monitoring security cameras while she was away on vacation. Sellner’s mother had assigned him the task of cleaning the horse stalls during her absence. To ensure he was completing his chores, she checked the surveillance footage and was horrified to find her son performing sex acts on the horse. The footage revealed Sellner touching the horse’s genitals and rubbing them on his bare body.

Sellner’s mother immediately canceled her trip and returned home to confront her son. When questioned about the footage, Sellner claimed he was merely cleaning the horse. However, his mother noted that there was no water, soap, or gloves visible during the incidents—items typically used for cleaning horse sheaths. She ordered Sellner to leave the property and promptly contacted the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) to report the incidents and provide the surveillance evidence.

Deputies reviewed the footage and confirmed that Sellner had committed bestiality on two different occasions while his mother was on vacation. The MCSO launched an investigation and located Sellner at a friend’s apartment near 7th Street and Beardsley Road. With the friend’s consent, detectives entered the apartment, found Sellner lying on the couch, and took him into custody without incident.

“This crime is beyond reprehensible. I commend our detectives for promptly removing this predator from society,” said Sheriff Russ Skinner. “Let this serve as a reminder to always be vigilant and report criminal behavior, no matter who the perpetrator is.”

After being read his Miranda rights, Sellner admitted to touching the horse’s genitals while cleaning the stalls. He claimed that the horse’s genitals were “flaky” and that “one thing led to another.” Despite his explanation, Sellner was subsequently booked into the Maricopa County jail on two counts of bestiality.

The case has sent ripples through the local community, highlighting the importance of vigilance and the willingness to report even the most difficult situations. The swift action by Sellner’s mother and the MCSO ensured that this disturbing behavior was addressed promptly, reaffirming the community’s commitment to justice and animal welfare.
