Phoenix International Raceway gets solar sponsor for NASCAR series races

DC Solar is sponsoring Phoenix International Raceway to go solar for its NASCAR Xfinity Series starting They will be sponsoring the series in 2017 and 2018 and the race, which runs the day before the NASCAR Sprint Series, will be called the DC Solar 200. The smaller Xfinity Series is for new drivers who are looking to earn a spot in the larger Sprint series.

Phoenix Raceway president, Bryan R. Sperber, thinks that Phoenix Raceway will provide a great platform for DC Solar to showcase their cutting-edge equipment to businesses and consumers.  “We are very pleased to launch this new partnership with DC Solar,” he said in an interview.

DC Solar’s mobile generator-based, table-top stations will provide AC outlets for users to charge their personal devices.  This is meant to increase the overall fan experience with generators placed throughout the Fan Midway.

The Raceway will also incorporate mobile solar light towers on and around the track to provide safety and security.  The towers will reduce overall carbon emissions at the track and a single solar light tower will save over 24 gallons of diesel fuel per tower.

Jeff Carpoff, DC Solar’s CEO, has gone on record saying “we’re incredibly excited about our new partnership with Phoenix Raceway.  As our relationship evolves, we look forward to introducing new and innovative methods for improving the fan experience, as well as raceway operations, with our renewable energy products.”

DC Solar envisions a greener planet and the company helps environmentally conscious consumers and businesses reduce their carbon footprint by providing noise- and emissions-free solutions for their off-grid needs.

DC Solar will also work with other tracks around the NASCAR circuit to integrate their products and technology.
