Phoenix Fire Department Launches First Holiday Food Drive to Support Growing Community Need

Eight stations across the city will accept non-perishable donations through Dec. 12

The Phoenix Fire Department is rolling out its first-ever Holiday Food Drive, teaming up with St. Mary’s Food Bank to help families facing food insecurity during one of the busiest times of the year. The campaign comes as thousands of Arizona households continue to struggle with rising grocery costs and limited access to nutritious meals.

Running Dec. 6–12, the drive encourages residents to drop off non-perishable items — including canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, boxed meals, cereals, and canned proteins — at designated fire stations citywide. All donated items must be sealed and within their expiration dates.

Fire Chief Mike Duran said the department hoped the weeklong effort would offer meaningful support to families feeling the pinch this season. The partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank, one of the region’s largest hunger-relief organizations, underscores the city’s broader push to strengthen community resources during the holidays.

Donation bins have been placed at eight stations to make giving easier:

  • Station 9 – 330 E. Fairmount Ave.

  • Station 12 – 4247 N. 32nd St.

  • Station 25 – 4010 N. 63rd Ave.

  • Station 27 – 12449 N. 32nd St.

  • Station 28 – 7409 S. 16th St.

  • Station 50 – 20255 N. 35th Ave.

  • Station 52 – 21650 N. Tatum Blvd.

  • Station 59 – 1111 S. 65th Ave.
