Phoenix Drug Trafficker Sentenced to Over Nine Years in Prison

Special Agent in Charge Cheri Oz and Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Luis Torres Jaramillo was sentenced to 9.25 years prison on July 13, 2022 for his involvement in a drug trafficking organization.

On July 22, 2021, police arrested Jaramillo after observing him conduct a drug transaction in a parking lot. Jaramillo was arrested with 3.54 kilograms of heroin. Law enforcement conducted a search of Jaramillo’s home and located an additional 121 grams of heroin, along with 60 fentanyl pills.

Jaramillo pleaded guilty to one count of Transportation of a Narcotic Drug (Heroin) for sale, a Class 2 Felony. On July 13, 2022, a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge sentenced Jaramillo to 9.25 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.


The case was investigated by the DEA and Salt River Police Department.
