Phoenix Parks and Recreation is inviting residents to celebrate Independence Day with a variety of free community events featuring fireworks, drone shows, live entertainment and family-friendly activities throughout the city.
The festivities begin before the holiday itself with the return of After Dark in the Park on June 27 at Deer Valley Park. The event will feature music, games, activities for all ages and a patriotic drone show designed to kick off the holiday season.
Baseball fans will have another option at Light Up the Sky, scheduled for the same evening at American Family Fields of Phoenix. Attendees can enjoy entertainment, family activities and a view of the evening fireworks display from inside the stadium.
The city’s largest celebration will take place on July 4 with the 38th Annual Fabulous Phoenix 4th at Steele Indian School Park. The annual event is expected to draw thousands of residents and visitors for an evening of live performances, interactive attractions, food vendors and a large-scale fireworks show.
City officials say the events are designed to provide safe and family-friendly opportunities for residents to celebrate the holiday while bringing communities together across Phoenix.
