Peridot Woman Sentenced to 15 Years for Voluntary Manslaughter of Husband

San Carlos Apache Tribe Member Receives 180-Month Sentence for Fatal Stabbing Incident in 2022

PHOENIX, AZ – Terri Lynn Victor, a 43-year-old resident of Peridot and member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, has been sentenced to 180 months in federal prison for the killing of her husband. The sentencing took place on August 26, 2024, and was handed down by U.S. District Judge Diane J. Humetewa. In addition to her prison term, Victor will serve three years of supervised release upon completion of her sentence.

The tragic incident occurred during the late-night hours of July 6, 2022, and into the early morning of July 7, 2022, when Victor fatally stabbed her husband in the chest. Victor subsequently pled guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter in February 2024.

The case was thoroughly investigated by the San Carlos Apache Police Department in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Dimitra Sampson and Vinnie Lichvar, based out of Phoenix in the District of Arizona.


This case highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to seek justice for violent crimes within the San Carlos Apache community.
