SCOTTSDALE — Two suspects remain at large after an attempted armed robbery at a business near Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads late Monday afternoon.
The suspects entered the store around 4:40 p.m. and smashed a display case containing high-end eyeglass frames. Before they could steal any merchandise, store employees intervened.
In response, the suspects used pepper spray on the staff before fleeing on foot. The incident is being classified as an attempted armed robbery due to the use of the chemical spray as a weapon.
Three employees were treated at the scene by emergency responders but declined to be taken to the hospital.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Scottsdale authorities at 480-312-8477.
