Authorities in Mesa are investigating a deadly hit-and-run that occurred Saturday night in the parking lot of the Mesa Grand Shopping Center.
According to the Mesa Police Department, officers responded to the shopping center near Baseline Road and Stapley Drive at approximately 11 p.m. after reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found a man dead at the scene.
Investigators say a silver Ford F-150 was involved in the collision and allegedly fled the area before police arrived. No additional details about the victim or the driver have been released as authorities continue to investigate.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information related to the vehicle involved to contact Mesa police at 480-644-2211.
The investigation remains ongoing.
