Online Clothing Thrift Shop, ThredUp Opens Scottsdale Corporate Office

ThredUP, an online fashion resale platform has announced that it has opened a corporate office in Scottsdale. They tout themselves as “The Largest Online Consignment and Thrift Store.”

The 8,000-square-foot office near Indian School Road and Drinkwater Boulevard plans to create up to 50 jobs, according to a press release.

“We are thrilled to open our latest office in Scottsdale and expand our corporate footprint. As we continue to scale thredUP’s operations, our customer remains at the core of what we do,” CEO Allison Hopkins said in the release.


“With that in mind, we’re investing in space to bring in talented engineers and customer service representatives to continue delighting the customer and inspiring the next generation to think secondhand first.”

ThredUP has distribution centers in Phoenix, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Georgia. The centers receive 100,000 secondhand items every day, according to the release.

The company was founded in 2009 in Oakland, California, and employs more than 1,500 people.
