A 20-year-old man has been returned to Arizona to face charges in connection with the 2024 death of a young woman whose body was discovered in a south Phoenix baseball field.
Authorities confirmed that Jayden Frost was extradited from Ohio and booked into a Maricopa County jail on December 31. The Phoenix Police Department said Frost is accused of murdering Margaret Williams, 21, whose body was found on December 7, 2024, near 40th Street and Ray Road.
When Williams was first discovered, police noted there were no visible signs of trauma, leaving her cause of death unclear. However, following a detailed investigation by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office, the case was reclassified as a homicide, prompting a broader criminal probe that ultimately led detectives to Frost.
Authorities have not released additional details about what evidence connected Frost to the crime or the circumstances of his arrest in Ohio. The Phoenix Police Department continues to investigate the case, which has drawn community attention for its initially puzzling nature.
More updates are expected as court proceedings move forward.
