Northern Arizona Experienced Two 3.0+ Magnitude Earthquakes

United States Geological Survey reported on Wednesday, Northern Arizona experienced two earthquakes over 3.0 magnitude.

A 3.2 magnitude earthquake registered near a small town north of Flagstaff approximately 10 miles away from Cameron at 11:21 a.m. A second earthquake was recorded a 3.1 magnitude, around 3 p.m. 16 miles from Cameron.

Typically, a 3.2 magnitude earthquake is usually only noticeable indoors and typically only causes minor damage. There are approximately 500,000 earthquakes registered between 2.5 to 5.4 magnitude each year.


No deaths, injuries, or significant property damage has been reported from the Arizona earthquakes.
