New Innovation Campus To Be Built in Peoria

The City of Peoria, Arizona is on its way to becoming a hub for technology and innovation. A 17-acre Peoria Innovation Campus will be built by Plaza Companies in the city’s P83 Entertainment District!

An Exclusive Negotiating Agreement has been approved by the Peoria City Council. The said the agreement will enable staff to enter negotiations with Plaza Companies to build the Peoria Innovation Campus. The upcoming establishment, in order to attract innovation and technology companies to the city, will offer Class A, mixed-use commercial space. The P83 Entertainment District is visited by numerous people every year as it offers various recreational and dining options. Having the Innovation Campus built in the same area will further increase its value.

Plaza Companies seem to be the right choice for the project because it does have experience with similar projects. It created the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Centre, SkySong,  which has become an important asset to the Valley’s economic development.


According to the city’s Mayor, Cathy Carlat, the creation of mixed-use areas that are vibrant and will make people to congregate requires a lot of work and planning. She’s also proud of the Peoria’s council that wants to make the city better and successful for future generations.

Sharon Harper, the CEO of Plaza Companies, said that the current project will be unique due to the type of companies that will be targeted keeping in mind the city’s strength. She also went on to say that Peoria has a highly educated work force, and it has been earning a name with regards to leadership and innovation in the whole region.
