PHOENIX — Kids in Arizona can now hit the green without breaking the bank, thanks to a new initiative from Bank of America called “Golf with Us.” The program gives children ages 6 to 18 a free one-year membership to Youth on Course, allowing them to play at participating golf courses for $5 or less.
Scott Vanderpool, President of Bank of America Phoenix, told ABC15 the initiative gives young people access to over 30 golf courses within a 50-mile radius of Phoenix, adding that the program includes a USGA Handicap Index, helping kids track their progress.
“One of the biggest challenges in golf is just being able to afford to get out on the grass,” Vanderpool said. “This removes cost as a barrier and creates access to these courses.”
The free membership also includes:
A GolfPass Video subscription,
Scholarship and internship opportunities,
Access to events and competitions nationwide.
In total, 48 Arizona golf courses are participating in the Youth on Course network.
The offer is available until May 24, 2025, or until 75,000 new members have signed up — whichever comes first.
For parents interested in enrolling their children, more information can be found at youthoncourse.org.
