National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Is October 26th

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is slated for October 26, 2019. National Take-Back Day is a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs.

For the first time, vaping devices and cartridges at any of its drop off locations during Take Back Day.  No devices containing lithium ion batteries will be accepted. If batteries cannot be removed prior to drop-off, individuals are encouraged to consult with stores that recycle lithium ion batteries.

April 2019’s Take Back Day brought in 937,443 pounds (468.72 tons) of unused or expired prescription medication.

The goal of this movement is to provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.
