#1: U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights Book Club

Avid book lovers will be no novice when it comes to book clubs; however, this is a book club that will be sure to surprise every bookworm in the city. At this book club every member will be greeted with a pocket sized copy of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights available for $5 to ensure that anyone who comes unprepared will be equipped with the proper book for discussion. Aimed at “engaging participants in a deeper understanding of the Constitution and Bill of Rights as living documents,” the group will be meeting this Sunday from 3pm to 5pm at the Newton. The theme this month is Green Acres and will feature everything from shabby chic farmhouse decorations to Manhattan style home goods. Be sure to not miss out on a very unique shopping experience in the city this week. Hours are Friday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm with all the details located on the Sweet Salvage website. http://sweetsalvage.net/

This weekend Metro Phoenix will be home to an exhibition of this artwork, with all sales going to help fund Planned Parenthood Arizona. Make sure to show up when the doors open for this event on Friday at 6pm to get in for free; but even if you can’t make it until after 7pm your ticket cost will be sure to go towards a worthy cause: admission is a $2 to $10 donation to Planned Parenthood.
