GLENDALE, Ariz. — A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run collisionin Glendale late Friday night, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. near the intersection of 69th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, according to the Glendale Police Department.
When officers arrived, emergency crews were already on scene performing life-saving efforts on the injured motorcyclist. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Following the collision, police said the driver responsible fled the area, and the roadway was shut down for several hours as investigators worked at the scene.
Authorities are now actively looking for the suspect vehicle involved in the crash. No description of the vehicle has been released.
