A Mesa man convicted of sexually exploiting a minor will spend the next 26 years in prison under a sentence handed down Wednesday.
Jason Robert Henry, 43, pleaded guilty July 10, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. He was convicted of one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, along with two counts of attempted sexual exploitation and a prior felony conviction.
Henry will also face strict conditions after completing his prison sentence. Prosecutors said he will remain on lifetime supervised probation, must register as a sex offender and will face restrictions on computer use for the rest of his life.
The case was prosecuted by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, which said the sentence reflects the seriousness of crimes involving the exploitation of children.
Henry’s conviction comes as Arizona authorities continue targeting cases involving the online exploitation of minors, with investigators increasingly relying on digital evidence and technology-related restrictions as part of long-term supervision.
