Mark Your Calendar: Arizona’s First Buc-ee’s Has an Official Opening Day

The beloved Texas-born travel giant is set to open its Goodyear doors on June 22nd — and it's bringing 120 fuel pumps with it.

Arizona road trippers finally have a date to circle. A Buc-ee’s representative confirmed to ABC15 that the company is scheduled to open its first Arizona location at 6 a.m. on June 22, 2026.

The sprawling Goodyear travel center will occupy 74,000 square feet and offer 120 fueling positions — a scale that reflects the brand’s reputation for doing everything bigger than the competition. The location puts it squarely along one of the Southwest’s busiest travel corridors, with millions of drivers passing through the Phoenix metro annually on routes between California and Texas.

For the uninitiated, Buc-ee’s is far more than a gas station. The 24/7 travel centers are famous for their expansive food offerings, massive retail floors and — perhaps most famously — their spotless restrooms. The brand has built a fiercely loyal following across the South and is now aggressively expanding westward.

When ABC15 asked a founder about the decision to come to Arizona, the response hinted that Goodyear may be only the beginning — suggesting additional locations across the state could follow as the brand continues to grow its footprint beyond its Texas roots.
