Man Turns Himself Into Police After Admitting to shooting His Wife in Buckeye

Tuesday morning, a man walked into a Buckeye police station and admitted to shooting his wife.

Buckeye police report that the shooting happened on Jan. 17 near Verrado Way and Yuma Road.

The suspect, who has been identified as a man in his 50s, walked into the police station approximately 45 minutes after the shooting occurred.


Officers drove to the scene and discovered a deceased woman in her 50s had been shot multiple times in her bedroom. Her identity has not yet been released.

The man has been taken into custody.

This is a developing story. Investigators do not believe anyone else was home at the time of the shooting.
