Police Seek Leads in Two Linked Incidents Near Camelback Road

PHOENIX — A shooting in west Phoenix has left one man dead and another hospitalized, with detectives actively investigating the connected incidents, authorities said Saturday.

Phoenix police responded to reports of a shooting around 9:30 a.m. on Friday near Camelback Road and 40th Avenue. Officers found 20-year-old Said Abdikadir dead from a gunshot wound inside a car, according to Sgt. Phil Krynsky of the Phoenix Police Department.

Linked Incident

Investigators believe the fatal shooting is connected to another incident that occurred the previous night. In that case, a gunshot victim was dropped off at a nearby hospital but provided limited details about the circumstances of the injury.

Investigation Ongoing

Detectives have interviewed multiple individuals in connection with the case, but no arrests have been made as of Saturday evening.
