Phoenix police are investigating a suspected road rage shooting that left one man injured Monday evening in the city’s west side.
Authorities say officers were called to the area near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road shortly before 8 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators determined that the incident began as an argument between the occupants of two vehicles before escalating into violence. The shooter reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.
No suspect description or vehicle details have been released, and officers are still working to identify those involved.
