A violent fight in west Phoenix early Monday left one man critically injured from a stabbing and another hospitalized with less severe wounds, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers were called to the area of 75th Avenue and McDowell Road around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a fight in progress. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from what appeared to be a puncture wound. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in life-threatening condition.
A second man involved in the altercation was also taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Detectives spent the morning processing the scene and interviewing witnesses to determine what led to the confrontation. Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and no arrests or charges have been announced.
The investigation remains active, and police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Updates will be provided as more details become available through the Phoenix Police Department.
