Man Fatally Stabbed Outside West Phoenix Gas Station; Police Searching for Suspect

Victim identified as 35-year-old Ryan Festa; second homicide near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road in three days

PHOENIX, Ariz. — A man was fatally stabbed outside a QuikTrip gas station in west Phoenix on Sunday night, marking the second homicide near the intersection in just three days, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Officers responded to a stabbing call near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road around 7:10 p.m. and found the victim, identified as 35-year-old Ryan Festa, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.

Stabbing Occurred Near Bus Stop Before Victim Sought Help

Investigators believe Festa was initially stabbed at a bus stop next to the gas station. After being attacked, he managed to walk to the QuikTrip to seek help.

However, the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Search for the Suspect Ongoing

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made. Detectives are actively following leads in an effort to identify and locate the suspect.
