Man Critically Injured After Shooting and Crash in West Phoenix

Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that left a man in extremely critical condition after he crashed his vehicle in west Phoenix early Friday morning.

Officers were called to the area of 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road around 2 a.m. following reports of gunfire. When police and emergency crews arrived, they located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to preliminary findings, the victim was shot and then attempted to drive away from the scene. Investigators believe he lost control of his vehicle and crashed shortly afterward.

The man was transported to a hospital in extremely critical condition. Authorities have not released his identity or provided an update on his medical status.

Detectives are still working to determine what led to the shooting and have not identified any suspects. No arrests have been announced.
