A 21-year-old man remains hospitalized after a shooting outside a house party in west Phoenix left him with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near 103rd Avenue and Broadway Road around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Investigators say witnesses reported that two groups began exchanging shots as the party was coming to an end. During the gunfire, the 21-year-old man was struck.
The victim was initially transported to a nearby hospital before later being transferred for additional treatment. Police said that as of Saturday afternoon, he remained in critical but stable condition.
Authorities have not announced any arrests, and investigators are continuing to search for those involved in the shooting.
