A 29-year-old Peoria man was arrested Tuesday evening after calling 911 himself to report that he had killed his parents inside their home.
Jonathan A. Turk made the call to police, directing officers to a residence near 83rd Avenue and Jomax Road. When officers arrived shortly after 6 p.m., they found two adults dead inside: Fraser S. Turk, 63, and Tina B. Turk, 56. Jonathan Turk was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
He was subsequently booked into Maricopa County jail on one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder. Peoria police said there is no ongoing threat to the surrounding community.
The investigation remains open as detectives work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
