Kohler Plans to Bring 425 Jobs to Casa Grande

Casa Grande City Council met Tuesday to approve a development agreement that would allow Kohler Co. to build a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility on 200 acres in the industrial corridor of Casa Grande.

Kohler, best known for its plumbing products, but also manufactures furniture, cabinetry, tile, engines, and generators, is expected to employ 425 within five years with the approved plan.

The Kohler proposal is the another economic win for Casa Grande. The rural town between Phoenix and Tucson will soon be home to another major corporation plant. Earlier this year construction began on the Lucid Motors Advanced Manufacturing Plant in Casa Grande.

“Pinal County sits at the epicenter of two big cities and is the point of intersection where all infrastructure in the state comes through,” says Jackob Andersen, president and CEO of Saint Holdings, the developer behind some of the county’s largest land deals, including two massive industrial parks.

Kohler plans to build its new factory south of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway at the Pinal County Technology Park, a 1,000-acre parcel between Clayton Road and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. The site is across the road from the Frito-Lay plant in Casa Grande. The construction project is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete.

The facility brings projections of $1.1 billion economic output, which will include $13.8 million directly to the city of Casa Grande. City officials have committed to expanding and improving roadways around the site as part of their 2022 Capital Improvement Program.
