Each year, Tucson turns into an artistic metropolis where both jazz aficionados and top jazz performers get together to indulge in the intimate and spontaneous tunes of this music genre. The Jazz Legends Live! saga made its first appearance 13 years ago and was the brainchild of Al Cook. The upcoming signature jazz event on Friday, September 23rd will take place at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon and is dedicated in Cook’s memory since he passed away earlier this year.
The 13th annual Jazz Legends Live! concert will host a highly anticipated ensemble of the genre’s veterans including Lewis Nash, Barbara Morrison, Shelly Berg, Jeremy Pelt, Houston Person and Rodney Whitaker. All of them are famous and appreciated for their contribution to contemporary jazz and are bound to “wow” the approximately 600 jazz enthusiasts from across Arizona who are expected to attend the event.
Being a bright example of music’s grace and generosity, the 2016 Jazz Legends Live! concert will donate all the money raised to local schools in an attempt to support their struggling art programs and raise students’ musical awareness.
Following a 13-year-old tradition, Jazz Legends Live! comes with dinner festivities which offer the opportunity for 200 jazz lovers (out of 600) to dine to the sounds of their favorite genre’s legends. • Section B (Middle Rows): 65$
B. CONCERT SEATING AND VIP DINNER: 150$ Per Person
The particular ticket includes VIP seating in the front five rows and a VIP 3-course meal with wine.
C. PLATINUM VIP EXPERIENCE: 250$ Per Person
This ticket includes all of the above plus the chance to mingle and dine privately with the event’s jazz legends. Maximum 40 individuals can attend this side event.
D. VIP TABLE: 1.250$
This ticket allows attendees to enjoy a private dinner of 10 along with the concert.
E. PLATINUM VIP SPONSOR TABLE: 2.500$
This ticket is the ultimate way to experience the Jazz Legends Live! event. It includes a private dinner of 10 along with the concert as well as a private concert the previous night (on Thursday).
