Jason Aldean Six String Circus Tour Comes to Phoenix

Country music sensation and 2016 Academy of Music Awards winner of Entertainer of the Year will perform at Phoenix’s Ak-Chin Pavilion at 7:30pm on August 12 with special guests Thomas Rhett, A Thousand Horses, and Dee Jay Silver. Joining Aldean on his “Six String Circus Tour 2016” are bandmates Rich Redmond, Tully Kennedy, and Kurt Allison, all formerly of the band Rushlow. Phoenix is one of 27 stops on the tour, including a first-ever country artist performance at Boston’s Fenway Park with Kid Rock. The tour will promote his soon-to-be released album They Don’t Know, out September 9th and which includes the already-released singles “Lights Come On” and “A Little More Summertime”. 

A Georgia native, Aldean grew up Jason Aldine Williams. He changed his name when he entered the music industry as there were already too many Jason Williams. He started playing music at a young age when his father would show him guitar chords. Soon Aldean could play a song after only hearing it a few times and was encourage by both his parents to pursue his musical aspirations. In the course of his career he has produced six full-length albums, headlined seven tours including Six String Circus, been a supporting act on five tours, and has had 15 singles reach number one on country charts. His 2010 album My Kinda Party went certified triple-platinum, his 2012 album Night Train is certified double-platinum. He has also won numerous Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Music Awards, Billboard Touring Awards, CMT Music Awards, American Country Awards for categories such as “Song of the Year”, “Entertainer of the Year”, “Single of the Year” and also was nominated for several Grammys for Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Country Album.
