iPhone 11 Reviews Are In: Should You Purchase One?

Apple iPhone 11 reviews are popping up across the internet following the annual Apple Event, which took place last week. Most reviews focus on the internal of the new smartphone as well as the new camera(s).

Reviews are tending to be overwhelmingly positive. The prices and the cameras are being highly praised. The iPhone 11 is priced at $699 and includes an extended hour of battery life compared to the past iPhone model.

The Pro phones are made of stainless steel, come with super retina displays, triple cameras, and are equipped with night mode.

Here are some snippets from reviews on the iPhone 11:

The Verge:

“So, is it worth upgrading to the iPhone 11? If you’ve got an iPhone older than the XR and you’re looking to upgrade, I think the answer is yes. The camera is substantially improved, and you will get vastly better battery life than anything aside from a XR. That’s what most people care about, and Apple has really delivered here.”

“I’d only spend the extra money on the iPhone 11 Pro if you really care about the display. I don’t think you’re missing out on much by not having a telephoto camera lens, to be honest. I personally care quite a bit about displays, so I’m getting a Pro, but I think most people will be very happy with the iPhone 11.”

TechCrunch:

This reviewer took his iPhone 11 to Disneyland in order to give it the ultimate test.

“The iPhone 11 is going to sell really well. And it should, because it’s great. It has the best new lens, an ultra-wide that takes great family photos and landscape shots. It has nearly every software feature of iPhone 11 Pro. But it doesn’t have the best screen and it doesn’t have telephoto. For people who want to address edge cases — the best video and photo options, a better dark mode experience, a brighter screen — the iPhone 11 Pro is there. For everyone else, there’s still fiscal 2020’s best-selling iPhone.”

USA Today:

“I can certainly recommend any of the new iPhones 11s, especially if your current phone is showing signs of fatigue. The cameras in the 11s are likely better than what you have, as is the precious resource we all need, battery life.”

“But if that current phone in your pocket is operating just fine, you can certainly wait another cycle or two, when Apple will perhaps cook up something to truly blow you away.”

Engadget:

This reviewer gave the smartphone a score of 91/100 which they classify as highly recommended and the best in its category.

“The iPhone 11 takes almost everything that makes the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max special and squeezes it down into a package that’s $50 less than last year’s cheap model. It’s probably not worth buying if you have an iPhone XR or XS, but for everyone else, it’s the easiest way to get a taste of modern flagship iPhone performance without dropping $1,000.”
