Holiday Tradition To Return to Central Phoenix on Saturday

For more than three decades, the APS Electric Light Parade has been a holiday tradition where family, friends and neighborhood groups from across the valley come together to celebrate the festive time of year.

APS Electric Light Parade returns this holiday season to light up the night in central Phoenix this Saturday, December 4th with plans to feature parade entries that will display hundreds of lights. The year’s parade theme is “Peace on Earth.”


The 2.3-mile parade route will begin at 7 p.m. at Central and Montebello Avenues and then travel south to Central Avenue and Camelback Road. The route will head east along Camelback to Seventh Street and continue south until the end at Indian School Road.

Drivers in the area can expect road closures from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Central Avenue from Camelback to Bethany Home roads, Seventh Street from Indian School to Osborn roads, and Camelback Road from First Avenue to Seventh Street.

Spectators are invited to bring chairs, blankets, water and snacks. All who attend are advised to arrive early to accommodate for road closure concerns and parking.  Coolers will be permitted, however, alcohol and any type of glass containers are prohibited.
