Hockey Fan Has Finger Tip Bitten Off During Chaotic Fight at Coyotes Game

Mayhem broke out at a recent Arizona Coyotes game, resulting in severe injury and arrests.

On Friday, Police say that one person lost the tip of their finger during a brawl in the stands at the Arizona Coyotes game. During the scuffle, a Phoenix Police officer was injured trying to break up the fight.

The injured fan, later identified as Steven Rocha, lost a fingertip during the brawl. Rocha was immediately transported to a hospital for treatment.

As seen in the video posted by Bally Sports’ Pete Blackburn, numerous fans began fighting before police can attempt to break it up. As officers work to diffuse the brawl, one falls over the stands. In what was complete chaos, the video captures a man knocking down a woman with a punch to the face at one point in the video.

One person was arrested for aggravated assault and five others were cited for disorderly conduct.

“According to the police report, the individual arrested for aggravated assault bit the tip of another individual’s finger completely off during the brawl,” ASU Police said. “For clarification, the victim of the assault was involved in the fight. Also, none of the individuals involved have any affiliation with the university.”

In their first game back at Mullett Arena since Nov. 3, the Coyotes defeated the Boston Bruins 4-3.
