Heard Museum to Host Annual Artlink Juried Exhibition

On Thursday, September 15th, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Steele Auditorium at the Heard Museum, the 18th Annual Artlink Juried Exhibition will take place. This one-night event will host five mesmerizing artworks by 45 brilliantly talented Arizona artists.

The Juried Exhibition is exciting for Arizona artists because it is being hosted for the first time ever at the Heard Museum, located at 2301 N. Central Ave. in midtown Phoenix’s Central Arts District.

The 50 exhibition pieces were chosen out of a substantial pool of 256 submissions. The three jurors who selected the 50 pieces were exceptionally brilliant minds and members of the Phoenix arts community.


Nancy Hill is the first juror, who is the owner of Chartreuse gallery.  The second is Fred Tieken, an artist and owner of his own marketing and design firm. Last but not least, is Ann Marshall, Ph.D, director of curation at the Heard Museum.

These three judges will select three winners to receive cash awards. The “Baron Prize” will consist of $5000, the art piece becoming part of Baron Properties’ permanent collection, and will be installed in the  residential apartment community, located at 290 E. Roosevelt St; this prize  will be awarded to an artist for original 2-D work.The first runner up in any media will receive $2000. Lastly, the second runner up in any media will receive $750.
